The Force Multiplier: A Civilian's Unlikely Journey into Veteran Leadership
Dr. Natan Verkhovsky never set out to become a civilian advisor to veteran leaders. A Canadian-born performance coach with a PhD, 40 years of martial arts training, and twice-certified as an emergency first responder, his work has always lived at the intersection of crisis, discipline, and elite performance.
Since 1995, he's coached over 20,000 peak performers across six countries — Olympians, Cirque du Soleil acrobats, national sports teams, former intelligence agents, and high-performing entrepreneurs. But something shifted when he began working with military veterans transitioning to civilian leadership.
The veterans started trusting him in ways they didn't trust other coaches — even other veterans.
Why? Because Natan never claimed to understand military service. He never tried to be "one of them."
Instead, he brought something they couldn't get from fellow veterans: genuine outside perspective backed by complementary warrior experience.
Forty years of martial arts gave him credibility as someone who understands discipline, sacrifice, and the warrior mindset — without pretending that a dojo equals deployment. Emergency response experience meant he understood high-stakes decision-making, crisis leadership, and operating under pressure — parallel experiences that resonated without claiming equivalence.
And perhaps most importantly: as a Canadian civilian with no career in the U.S. military-industrial complex, he had nothing to protect, no chain of command to please, and no Pentagon politics to navigate. He could give veterans the unfiltered truth they needed without institutional constraints.
At the 2025 Patriot Gala in Naples, Florida, something extraordinary happened. A veteran from Tailored Arms Company — part of an inner circle that trusts almost no civilians — handed Natan a challenge coin. They told him he was the only civilian they'd ever fully trusted. And they gave him a title: "The Force Multiplier."
The term comes from military doctrine — capabilities like GPS, air-to-air refueling, or strategic advisors that dramatically multiply force effectiveness without adding personnel. Veterans recognized that Natan did exactly that: he amplified what they already possessed rather than trying to replace or imitate it.
Today, as founder of Allura Creative Agency, host of The Force Multiplier Podcast, and organizer of The Force Multiplier Leadership Summit, Natan has fully embraced this identity. His mission: to multiply the leadership impact of those who served by providing the outside perspective, research-backed strategy, and authentic support they need to dominate in civilian leadership.
He operates from Saint-Lazare, Quebec, serves veteran leaders globally, and considers this the most meaningful work of his 30-year coaching career.
